Pierre Yngve, born in a country that no longer exists, has lived and worked in Oslo since 2013.

He photographs almost exclusively with classic analog cameras in wide format. He is interested in making selected moods visible in the interplay between light and shadow, preferably in nature.

He often doesn’t find his motives; Pierre Yngve actually has the impression that they have found him. These are more casual moments and seemingly inconspicuous compositions. However, very few of his black and white photographs are arranged. Instead, the images arise from the dynamics of an approximate feeling, following an indefinite voice that expresses: „Something is waiting for you here.“
