Some friends advise me to finally start using Instagram. Best yesterday.

Maybe that will happen soon, maybe not. I wonder what the great Pennti Sammallathi would say about this? He doesn’t even have a website. The interesting thing about Instagram is the format of the images. 1:1 has something to offer. It’s not the way people see.

And in my opinion, some rules of composition such as the golden ratio cannot be applied so well. But others may disagree.

Every now and then I catch myself composing with my mobile phone or even taking a snapshot or two. But I would almost prefer a Hasselblad or a Rolleiflex for the 1:1 ratio. Here are four pictures that were taken in the last few months.
