The story behind that picture
This photo was taken in Berlin on September 14, 2024. I wanted to travel to Brandenburg an der Havel and needed to reach the Ostbahnhof station on time. But at Mariannenplatz, I was stopped by this late summer scene (and the train had already left). The treetop made the light particularly interesting; a group of young people were sitting to the left, and I let time stand still for a moment to capture this image and the atmosphere.

Dieses Bild ist am 14 September 2024 in Berlin entstanden. Ich wollte nach Brandenburg an der Havel und musste dafür rechtzeitig den Ostbahnhof erreichen. Aber am Mariannenplatz wurde ich von diesem spätsommerlichen Motiv aufgehalten (und der Zug war weg). Die Krone des Baumes machte das Licht besonders interessant, eine Gruppe junger Menschen sass links davon und ich konnte nicht anders als die Zeit für einen Moment still stehen zu lassen um dieses Bild und die Atmosphäre einzufangen.
